17ish mm f/2.8

While I rarely feel the need for something wider than my 24-70L I would like to have a prime in the 16-18mm area for those times I do. Has Canon made an EF USM lens like that? Perhaps I could start looking for a used one.

Canon have 14, 15, and 20 f/2.8 primes, and 16-35 f/2.8 and 17-40 f/4 zooms.

Someone (Tamron I think) has a 17mm prime, you can probably find it searching.

You are most likely referring to the Tokina 17/3.5 ATX-PRO.
There are a lot of threads on this one on the forum, try to look for threads created by user drisley.
