I was not planning a Star Trail shot, but at the moment, I'm really struggling with DeepSkyStacker, so I took a break and checked out this startrails.de that I've been hearing about, and just chucked them all in.

Guess now that I need to focus on the centre star next time I do it. :D

It's what the StarTrails program was written for after all...nice one. And I don't think focus is too much of an issue, so long as it's good enough to pick up a fair few stars, which you clearly did.

Thanks. And yeah, I did get a few, I'm just trying to stack them, but I cannot get an output image, it's really difficult. And it juts takes so long to keep trying.
And I do believe I was slightly off focus, that's due to struggling in the dark.

DSS takes a very long time on my slightly old home laptop. Works well with a series of images where tracking has been involved though. I just set it going then walk away for an hour or so.

Yeah, I know, it takes around 40 mins while using both my processors! Well, maybe I should lower the amount of images used? Ive already used startrails, what could I get from this with over 100+ images? I've tried 15-20 etc, but I get the best result with just one! But there has to be something else, I didn't want it to be a waste of time, haha.
