I'm confused.
Create a new layer, use the text tool and add your text. Highlight the text if you need to and use the options on the toolbar to change the font and size.
Position the text where you want and you're done.
The above picture probably used an action to add a border and text automatically... but that's just a guess.

Create a new layer, use the text tool and add your text. Doesn't the Text Tool in PSE create a new layer when you click it into a pic?

I think it does. It's been a while since I've used the text tool.
It seems that most people don't like using layers because it scares them or something. I've been trying to emphasize using layers wherever I can.

I am not real good at using elements. I just started. No I don't think it does create a new layer. Thanks for the help though. I will figure something out

If you're having problems, make sure that the text-tool is set with the "black" T and not the "dottet" T, which is a marquee-tool for text. So to type, make sure you have the right one selected and you then can choose color, font and size.

Britt,
In Pse2 when you add text to an image another layer is created (a), make sure that this layer is active (click on it), select the Text button (b) and highlight the text to change - basically drag the T tool over the text (c).
Then select the new font size in the menu bar (you can also change the font). Moving the T-tool around the selected text you will get the cross-arrows pointer that will allow you to move the text, or the curved double-headed arrow that will allow you to rotate the text.
Hope this helps.

If your text is too large, either decrease the font size, or go to the resize image dialog. Enter a new size, in inches or cm, and make sure the "resample image" check box is NOT selected.
