Hey everyone,
I was a wedding photographer for a few years before getting out of the business and now I'm currently a free-lance web developer.
One of the things I needed as a photographer was an inexpensive way of selling prints to my clients, because I didn't really promote print sales since I just charged enough on the front end. I offered prints more as a convenience to my clients than as a key income source to me.
What that meant was I didn't want to spend a lot on services to sell my photos and buying a software that I could self-host my galleries and sell prints myself was much more practical and kept my prices lower since I got 100% of the sales.
So now I'm working on developing a program that does just that, allows photographers to host their own client galleries to sell prints and offer it as a one-time fee so they too can make 100% of the sales off their prints.
What I'm looking for is some feedback from photographers as to what kind of features you would really like to see such a program have and that you would find very useful. The program I use to use was rather complicated to configure and that's one of the main things I'm trying to avoid and make it so simple grandma could even figure it out.
So what are your thoughts? I appreciate any input!
