I am looking to upgrade my Canon 10D to the 1DmkII, I did a wedding on Saturday in low light conditions and did not use flash , bcos the place was old and had a real atmosphere, I stuck it on ISO 800 and 1600 and shot away. I am always a bit concerned with the 10D at ISO1600 but the results were OK after a bit of Noiseware reduction.

How much better is the 1DmkII, I have read all the reports and it seems great , but you guys probably have one or have used one, is it significantly better, I have all L lenses and a Tamron 28-75, so my lenses are about as good as I can get(afford) will I really notice that much difference in image quality, performance etc etc.

Cheers

I also upgraded from the 10D to the mark2 and really the mark2 is in a different league. I always felt limited with my 10D especially with its focus ability, never really confident that the focus would be dead on with the mark2 it just works. The mark2 is so much more responsive than the 10D. The other thing you will notice is that you can now shoot at higher iso and really not worry to much about the amount of noise.
