Well, took on board last week's thread/advice. (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=74833&highlight=technique)

A nice result I think...Settings:
same 50mm NF and 10D
same- Tv priority
same- AF servo
same- ISO200
same-custom fn 4-1
changed- 1000th sec
same- f4
changed- all focus pts not just center pt

The detail on the clothing was pretty sharp for a cheap lens.
If I had a 85mm I'd have nice bokeh...

BTW - this goal shot missed. I was on the edge of the field and got clocked on the forehead 10 minutes after this!

Ah, sports.

This time last year (with my eyesight dwindling away and Olympus manual focus 35mm film gear), I'd never got close to getting a result as clear as this. And it was expensive OM glass...

Here's an interesting kung fu soccer shot. (see arrow);)

Carzee,

great improvement!!!

Still, now you have a great sharp shot to show, you'll have a hard time convincing your wife that you *have* to get the 85/1.8

Best regards,
Andy
