The TF signal was made by Skygod™Lol, I know it was not actually his or yours. I was referring to these previous posts:
You have to do it properly with the TF signal and all!
I lost mine when I waved it too vigorously to get Stealthy his current title :oops:It was just an inside joke, you see. :)

I'm just putting in a disclaimer.
BTW I think I just set a record for selling a camera.
Sold my 5D back to the guy who sold it to me within 5 minutes of mentioning it.

You misunderstood.
The guy sold it to me about 6 months ago. I mentioned to him I am going to get a 1DIV and want to sell my 5D (which he sold to me). He emailed me back within' 5 minutes saying he'd buy it back. :)

Me too - just stuck with a single flash. SWMBO will not allow more purchases atm (although she did just allow me a Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 :D )
Need to get out and use it now though - if only the rain would clear!

And should it prove to fail, at least then you have an excuse for your wife (Grand Master of all things money in this household?) to buy new toys? ;)
I need to marry a fellow photog so that this kind of restriction is never imposed on me, lol.

No idea, come on just get a ticket over here.....get a mk4 or two whilst your at itI'd love to, but flying to HK just to get a good deal on a camera, lens, and/or accessories would be offset by the cost of travel. :(
(Of course, if I happen to be on vacation there, I'd take a good look at what's available and what I can stuff in my suitcase, lol).
Maybe if I move over there, hmmm... but then, to settle in the land of Sealthy and KCY, with all the weird, magical creatures and silliness... It would be too good of a fit for me.:lol:
Well.....breakfast is a meal.....and a dessert after a meal is fineI am a strange one: I eat cereal (as in, breakfast cereal with cold milk) night and day. Breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, accompanying dinner, after dinner as dessert, as a snack after dessert, and/or midnight snack. I mean, it's not always all of those, but I can eat cereal at any time of the day. Kid's cereal, grown-up cereal, any of them. I don't know about cake or other sweets as dessert after breakfast... but now that it's nighttime here, that's beside the point. I'll mentally devour that cake in your photos. :)
oh it tastes much better than it looks if thats any consolationLeave some for us!!! :D

Oh, and to get back on topic slightly (forgive me Stealthy!), now that the T2i is out, I will go ahead and say we can expect a T3i and maybe a T4i in the future. You know what this means, right?
Rename the Rebel line as the Canon EOS Terminator and drop the "i". Get rid of the lower Rebel line XXXXD. And switch up the XXXD model numbers for Cyberdyne Systems model numbers.
Canon EOS Terminator T1 / T-800 (T-101)
Canon EOS Terminator T2 / T-1000
Canon EOS Terminator T3 / T-X
Canon EOS Terminator T4 / Marcus Wright
Yes, the model "numbers" will no longer be in order and will be a lot more confusing to the casual consumer, but North Americans will finally have a camera name they can boast about!
Imagine the following scenario:
"Hey, what camera do you have?"
"Oh, I have a Canon EOS Rebel T2i. It's 18 Megapixels and shoots video."
And replace that with:
"Hey, what camera do you have?"
"This is a Canon EOS Terminator T2, series 1000. It has a Digic IV Neural Net Processor learning CPU in a mimetic polyalloy body. It is an infiltrator unit that can mimic any other DSLR out there, including Nikon and Sony."
(said with manly Austrian accent)
On August 8, 2010, Canon becomes self-aware and launches a massive nuclear attack on what it deems to be a threat to its existence, Nikon and Sony. Judgement Day...
Oh wait, I got a little carried away, sorry.

They're made in China. They're good enough though.Oh yes, we know this here too. Almost everything is made in China. Heck, even American flags are made in China. Stuff made here usually bear something like "Proudly made in the U.S.A" to remind the public that we (supposedly) make better stuff. Except for cars. :D
Stealthy, Isn't Hong Kong a part of China? In geo-political terms, one could argue that Hong Kong is a part of China, or that it is apart from China.
But when it comes down to "Made in...", Made in China and Made in Hong Kong are completely different. :)

Like made in Korea. If you mean SOUTH Korea, it's the good stuff. NORTH Korea, well... I hear they make some good bullets.

Like made in Korea. If you mean SOUTH Korea, it's the good stuff. NORTH Korea, well... I hear they make some good bullets.I always assumed it was common understanding that "Korea" stood for South Korea. But, it so happens someone actually once asked me if this thing made in Korea means made in South Korea, "because, you know, the North is communist and all and cut off from the world." I doubt North Korea makes good bullets. Didn't you hear what happened with their missiles? :)

If you cannot find one at your local camera shop, you can use a piece of one inch steel plate. Just knock the glass out of an old UV filter and put the steel plate in its place.
