Background recommendations

I have been hired by a company to do Family photos for their Christmas Party and was looking for some ideas on the color backdrops to use for the shoot. I will have two setups, just looking for backdrop recommendations that won't costs a fortune. All lights will be WLs with either beauty dishes or umbrellas and will have another photographer working with me shooting next too me.
I have white seamless, gray muslim, black, another shade of gray and was hoping to use what I had. The largest family will be around 6. Do you think I will be able to fit them on a standard 12x10 backdrop? If so then I might go with the colors I have since gray is pretty standard.

With creative posing, you can probably shoot a family of 12 with a backdrop like that. They just won't be spread out and full length....Go for it.
