Melissa has a great presence and a huge, supportive following due, in addition to her talent, to her activism with respect to Gay/Lesbian interests, which is something I personally support but won't get into here but which is clearly reflected in the demographics of her audience. Unfortunately, Melissa is not visually stunning, has no support personnel, does not do a "show" but sticks pretty much to a concert and has a one song photography limit making it quite difficult to get any variety. She also has only one or two "looks".

She did seem happy and energetic for a 48 year old woman! LOL. I'm sure she's a pistol!!!

Hmmm. she's getting older and a bit fatter aswell...
Bit boring, but I can understand why... I like #3, and would have binned #2 on technical reasons. Not really impressed here Dwight. I think maybe some more close shots would be somewhat more interesting.

I'm getting older and fatter, too! Well, we can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear ... er, ah, um, do you have such a saying in the Netherlands?

You're so sweet! :-) I'm not (normally) allowed ... I'm supposed to be doing photojournalism for the most part!

I don't liquify musicians either... They should do fitness instead of asking me to make them look less fat ;)

Oh, I'd liquefy them in an instant for cash!

Haha I actually had a paid live show tonight, and one of the members asked me to mind his belly. Told him to mind that himself, but I might consider a little bit of liquify when he wants to pay me for that ;)
oh, and a few weeks ago I tool photos of a politician. He has lost some weight on the photos, but he doesn't even know ;)

When I do the VIP events and shoot the guests I check every woman's face (they are generally head shots) although not weight in Lightroom ... no zits or flecks or "stuff" and reduce wrinkles and a few other things ... not more than three or four minutes at most and charge $1.50 per image, usually for 200 to 300 images. Not a fortune, but the ladies love the pictures (I don't tell them I do anything) and that gets back to my management! :-)

I like the smile in #2. Yep and backfocussed a bit. Screw technicalities
#3 is nice and energetic.
Lighting is boring though.

Dwight,
We are all getting older and fatter. I love this series a great singer doing a stand up solo captured really really well. Glad to see she is on the mend.
Thanks for posting these

Yup, I'd like to blame it on the one song limit but I expect nothing changed! :-)
