I'm signed off work and stuck at home this week, getting extremely bored...:-|

Got the macro lens out and had a bit of a play about, trying to find the smallest stuff possible to shoot, so an aphid seemed like a suitable candidate. Here's what I came up with.

Shot in natural light, tripod mounted at close to 1:1 magnification with a sheet of white A4 as the background. Enjoy! :D

Very nice - I really like the color combination. Good job on the background as well. Suitable for framing.

You've done a very nice job getting the Aphid in focus. I hear that's a hard task with macros, especially at a magnification of 1:1. ;)
I've not really done any macro work, but always enjoy looking at well done macros such as yours. :D

Very impressive Macro. You have an excellent eye. You should take more like these, very impressive. I for one, would love to see more.

I am on the south coast near Chichester.
I am going to Winchester next time we have a sunny weekend to have a go at photographing the cathedral (not done a good one yet)

I read that as being winchester not basingstoke (though I am still trying to photog the cathedral)
