Hello,
How would you setup for an outdoor shoot with the following minimal equipment?! After setting up the minimal scenario please elaborate with the next equipment you would add in improving.

The site would be either a shaded yard, therefore anytime during day, or late afternoon/sunset beach shoot. Two to four person.

I am in the process of testing various scenarios with my 550ex mounted on my 30d. My funds are limited at the moment so attempting to make the best with what I have for now.

30D, 28-135 ef lens, 18-55 efs lens(kit), 550ex flash, several standard tripods, remote shutter release(16ft), stofen diffuser, white flash reflector(6 x 9), uv and polarizer filters.

I would attempt to capture as much ambient light as possible and use the flash for fill. Question is, would you use the diffuser(45*, 0* ?), reflector or nothing on flash? Would you remove the circular polarizer as darkness falls? My next purchase will probably be a wireless remote/flash trigger combo(Yongnuo rf602). This will allow me to immediately get the flash off camera and position as desired. Should I invest into a softbox/umbrella? Next I would like to invest into a second 550ex.

Your input is appreciated.
