Hey everyone! Ordered my 17-40L last week, and it arrived today! So excited! I've been toying around with it, and so far it's just simply amazing! My favorite lens for sure. Haven't taken many shots with it yet, but I got one while I was in the car. Took a few of the lens itself cause it's just sooooo good lookin.

That looks almost exactly like the 16-35L.
I'm sure it is an awesome lens.

I got mine a little while ago. It's a beautiful evening here and I plan on getting out during the "Golden Hour" to do some shooting. Too fun!

Now, got to switch the kids to a noodle diet to afford a few more toys. LOL

Yea! It's fantastic! And they do look very similar, but the 16-35 is bigger.

Hahahaha, good luck with the noodle diet! If that doesn't save you enough cash you could always feed the kids tree bark. :-)

It's a great lens. It makes me want to go shoot with mine, but it's the middle of the night over here in not so sunny London.

Enjoy and share the fruits of your labour.

By the by, the picture there with you zooming, erk. Makes me feel dizzy and a bit motion sick!

I don't know, those shots of the lens look a little bit soft to me ....  Have fun with it - the first time I went out to take some test shots of a building site the owner wandered over to see what I was doing because he thought I looked "pretty professional"! See what a difference a lens makes.

Yea, they are soft because I shot them with my 70-200mm f/4 at 200mm with pretty slow shutter speeds. Doesn't really matter to me. I was all excited and just snapped off a few pics of my new lens! :-)

These lenses do attract a lot of attention which is nice, but annoying sometimes! Especially when your trying to shoot and all they do is ask you questions. Grrrr...... oh well. :-)

Glad to hear that you are enjoying your new lens too. I drove to the Gulf of Mexico today for dinner with a girl I know and I just had to take my new lens. I really love this lens. I'm not taking it off for a while. I took these two photos.
