When I open the thread I was going to say#1 was my fav, but you have a lot of great shots here. Great panning job, I can almost hear them buzzing by...lol. I use to go watch these guys run in the Astrodome in Houston, Texas many years ago, very exciting...brings back memories.

Yeah those are great, I love flat track racing.
Isn't #2 the ex. K.R TZ750 mental machine?

Thanks Guys :)
Not sure if that is THE K.R. bike, but it is a tz750 motor in it for sure.

I would have loved to have seen Kenny Roberts (senior) do the promotional lap on that beautiful Yamaha TZ750 4-cylinder "liquid-cooled" two stroker in photo #2. During his glory days, that bike was so fast on the straights passing the dominant HD XR 750's with the rear wheel spinning with too much horsepower. And, his famous saying while dismounting, "they don't pay me enough to ride that thing..."

I couldn't remeber his name when I made the earlier post but he was racing in the Astrodome back when I use to go watch them. I saw him in his hayday!!

It was interesting seeing these bike up close, I guess I never really had a chance to check them out before. The swing arms are so frail compared to a modern day sport bike. The chassis on that 750 must twist itself into knots with all that power :) Kenny is the man for sure!

Yeah, if your in the area Dave you should go next year for sure. It is a really great show. And I was able to sneak into the pits and right down next to the track for photos :)
