I think it would be even better by waiting until the sun is even lower.

Another improvement would be to adjust the vertical angle of the camera closer to level in order to include a little of the ground as foreground instead of having everything floating.

[point 1] Agreed, I did keep shooting after this but didn't quite manage to get it right.

[point 2] Aah, didn't notice until now. I know I was trying to avoid a fence running in front of the cactus & palm tree and tilted the camera up slightly to avoid it but hadn't notice the effect it had on the shot.
