The elements of the pic very much compliment the title of this thread!

Ah yes, the Rockies. Great capture. The tracks pull you right in to the mountains. Very nice light, color and composition. And the sky is great.

Dramatic shot, as Stan say's don't start giving her advice just go out and buy a second camera as you are going to loose yours if she finds out how well she did! LOL:lol:
Can we look forward to more of her work?

Cheers
David

Thanks for your comments ,

i just checked the metadata and didnt realise that she used the telephoto lens 75-300mm from the back of the train, (didnt even realise she knew how to change lenses) i think i better start asking her for advice

An excellent shot and one of which she should be very proud - and you too!

Beautiful. A train and mountains in the same photo...what more could you want ? :-)

Wow, that's amazing composition! I might have cropped out a little more of the sky to make the mountains more dramatic, but I think she has a great eye for compositon: the train entering from the corner, the graceful curve of the tracks that lead you right into the mountains, the darker slope on the left frames it nicely.

Meerkat is right, just get her her own camera. If there is any doubt check threads started by Maureen Souza.
Great capture. Must have been a fabulous trip.
