Here is a good look at the barrier I face taking arial photos. The window is a 2 inch composite laminate of 5 layers, including a fine wire mesh for heating the windows. I find anything over 200mm is useless as the shots are just blurry. Also note the blue-green tinting I have to correct for!

No wonder most of my ariel photos are dull, blury, and washed out. But I will keep trying!!! Im slowly learning how to rescue things a bit in photoshop...

Is that a G-Bird, Gulfstream? I drive a 700A Hawker and have the same problems.

I Wish!!! Heck I understand they will precision grind those Gulfstream windows to your prescription!

Nope, straight out of the Amazon Jungle it is... the barbie jet, the pencil jet, the brazilla jet, the little guy, the jungle jet, the cheap jet, the ERJ (Embraer Regional Jet) - 145XR. all name calling aside it is a prety good little jet.

Hense my loggin - EMB dude
(my avitar is a somewhat well known photo of my Grandfather flying a unpainted SAS DC-6 over New York shortly after WWII)

Back to the subject...

Word is that EMBRAER (a portugese ackronym, dont ask me what...) asked Pitsburg Glass to make the windows, but were turned down because they didnt think EMBRAER would sell enough jets to make a profit on it. Boy were they wrong! So we are stuck with totally inferrior plastic/glass laminate windows made by someone in the amazon jungle. Rumor is they grind up old Nikkor lenses to make the stuff!

Have any photos of the Hawker?
