Hiya :)

The question is are there any reasonably priced camera shops in San Fracisco?

I have a friend who is honeymooning over there now and wanted to pick a lens up...

Thanks

Richard

I spent some time in SF last year, I don't know of any good camera shops (I am sure there must be some) but all I will say is STAY AWAY FROM THE CAMERA SHOPS AT FISHERMANS WHARF. Nuff said

possible help...

I agree. I live in the South Bay and it's really hard to find a decent price for any camera equipment around here. I've mainly shopped online.

One place your friend can try is Chinatown. And hopefully he has his camera so he can try out the lens before buying it.

Palo-Alto about 35min south of SanFrancisco.

Keeble and Schuchat Photography.

Close to B&H on most 'L' Lenses + tax. Excellent service.

K&S is good, but not cheap.

K&S is very expensive. San Jose Camera has reasonable prices. I bought some of my gear from them. They boast they are highest volume dealer in the area.
