This would be a great addition to the forums in my opinion, instead of using img tags, just paste the image URL and the thread will load the thumbnail. click on the thumbnail and it will slide out to a pre-assigned size, it could be to fill the screen or the actual size. The best part is that the speed of the page load is not effected like it would be while the forum loads every image, whether quoted or in the OP. This is great because people tend to quote an image every time they want to respond, and sometimes I see the same picture 8 times on one page. This way we dont have to wait to load every image while we try to read a thread and it keeps 'twitching'. Such a help for those on slow cable, busy places or poor saps like me who have to deal with DSL.

People wont have to resize their images...highslide does it right in the thread and by clicking the thumb it expands to a pre-determined size.

It is easily implemented in vbulletin.

Sounds like a good idea but there won't be any changes in vbulletin at this stage because it will be changed completely at a later time.

But personally I would want photos to be expanded by default so I do not have to click on every photo I would like to see. I want to be able to just scroll down. In quoted posts yes a thumbnail will be great.
