Thanks all! I promise not to overload you with photos.... I am already tired of them, LOL! I did have one problem with my camera...seemed the shoe mount flash worked it's way loose and no one bothered to mention that I was taking photos in near darkness. Since there were twinkling lights all about, I really didn't notice. Sadly, I didn't get the toast my middle daughter gave or the first dance. Luckily, my son got it all on video.

Bummer on the flash, hope PS would work wonders to save some of the shots.

Congrats on the newly wed.

Nicely posed shot, and congratulations! I saw that you have "editing allowed" in your sig so I took a crack at it. Good luck wading through all those 800 shots!

Great shot Maureen. Overload away! Congrats to you and yours on the new family.

mgbeach, how did you edit this pic?

I duplicated the background layer (ctrl-J) and ran a Gaussian blur at a radius of 1 pixel on the top layer. Then I used an eraser with a hardness of 0 to erase back down to the areas that needed to be sharp like the eyes, lips, nostrils, clothing, jewelry and flowers. I ran an unsharp mask on the bottom layer to make those parts stand out a bit more (amount 250, radius .3, threshold 0). Then an overall levels adjustment to suit my taste. I merged those layers and duplicated again. Did a motion blur on the top layer and erased back down to the sharp areas. saved and ran through Neat Image on a pretty conservative setting.

Thanks..... I am starting to do some editing and am using PS, MDI 10 and Neat Image. My daughter is a sun worshipper :( so trying to keep her lightened up and the dress not too over-exposed was a challenge. Some settings worked better than others but there are so many photos, I won't have any trouble giving her a huge amount. She wants a book of all 8x10's and I probably will do about 100-125 for her.

thanks everyone for having a peek and making a comment or two....

Nice shot! Cute couple, but I sorta agree with RJ :)

I also had a go at postprocessing, I hope you don't mind! Adding my trademark gaussian blur, rofl!

Spoken like a true father.
Actually I think he is a great guy, although when he came down to meet my daughter and me and take her to the alter we hugged and I whispered in his hear "If you hurt her I'll kill you, but I don't think that will be necessary."
They have been totegher for about eight years. At the wedding the brides processional was the standard but the recessional was "At Last." Brought down the house.

Marueen, I'm sure you're a pro at Photoshop, so I'm debating if I should post my "edited version" (everyone else eem to do it). S

ince your stunning daughter and her husband seem to have very red cheeks (did you make them blush?) I'd actually do some editing just on those cheeks... for instance lasso around them, add some feather to soften the edges of the selection and copy just the cheeks on it's own layer and drag the hue to the right to lessen the red.

No fancy stuff done in other words (well yeah, I did use the healing brush to clone out the hot-spots on the cheeks.. quick and dirty). All the rest looks great IMHO.

I was going to work on this photo as well . . . but the only improvement I could think of was to cut and paste my face in over his (would he mind?). LOL. Nice work . . .

Editing is allowed and thanks for playing with it....I hadn't done any editing on it other than crop it, when I posted it. However, I have now editied , cropped and printed 55 8x10's and they honestly look soooo much better once that was done. Both the B&G DO have ruddy complexions....both are sun worshippers but I toned them down just a tad as well for printing.

Thanks again!~
