Ok I have read the reviews in here but I'm still not clear if you can fit a 450D with the 2.8L IS mounted, in a Kata 3n1 20, or poss the Lowepro Slingshot 200.

I note some of you have fitted an f4 version in the bags listed but the 2.8 version is at least an inch longer I reckon.

I would happily buy either bag in the next size up, but still would cope with a tight fit in either of the bags above.

Enlighten me please guys

the slingshot 200 will barely fit the f4 from the side access.

i think the kata fill work for you if you load the setup through the top, but maybe not as quick access. I'm thinking of picking up the 3n1-20 also.

you can search for video reviews on youtube to get an idea of how big each bag is.

thanks for the heads up on the video reviews, very helpful, I reckon I need to get a Kata 3n1-30 and 20 "in the flesh" & try them out, pity there's no one nearby selling them, it really looks as though the 30 is the only option to fit my set up sideways, or......I could fiddle about with my Lowepro slingshot 100 & fit the camera & lens in vertically!?!

I have a 450D and a 70-200 f4 so this may or may not help.

Personally, I found you can fit a 450D with a 70-200 f4 vertically in a ss100 (although it's tight). I have read you could fit a f2.8 in a ss200 if you do it diagonally (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=331235).

I have also tried a 3n1-20 with my f4 and it's tight width wise (or I couldn't I can't remember) but if you do it vertically I'm sure you can fit it (since the divider in the middle can come out). If you were to do it how they want you to, then the 3n1-30 would probably fit better.
