Here are a few of mine from GMOS this past weekend. I'm not overly thrilled with most of my flight shots as I struggled with exposure.

Looks like he has dinner

Then the seagull starts to haunt him

At the end the seagull was able to force the osprey down into the water and they both took off again without any fish. It was amazing to watch this and it happened several times over the weekend.
All of the above shot with the 1DMKII and the 500 f4 with the 1.4TC

Amazing!
Cannot believe the gull had the upper hand. Guess that is why they are such a successful species.

SSIM: Awesome pics!!! I scrolled down slowly, enjoying each picture when I arrived to #3; I just couldn't figure out where those extra wings came from! I reluctantly scrolled down to #4 and voila! Great story! Like herderdog said, I was a little surprised by the intensity of the seagull and its apparent upper-hand, but that's nature.. live to fight/eat another day. Keep shooting away, and posting, for all of us to enjoy.

WOW!...I have to agree with everyone about #4..That's an amazing photo, the expression on that seagulls face..I hope to one day witness something like this in person, I could only ever dream of getting a photo like that one!

Brilliant series of shots, the last one is brilliant and it is brialliant+ when viewed after the others and you get the whole scene. Brilliant.
;) I wish I had the same exposure problems ;)

Wow, sheldon. You really got a nice one with the gull chasing after the osprey and trying to steal his catch, or should I say, the osprey trying like heck to out-fly the gull in order to keep from losing his catch to the gull.

Cannot believe the gull had the upper hand. Guess that is why they are such a successful species. I'm surprised the gull didn't become lunch!

Actually, there was a whole flock of gulls in the pond where that osprey was fishing and he was the only one there (near the water, not high in the sky) at the time. You know how it is. A stranger in another gang's turf. No matter how big you are, the gang can still gang up on you and extort whatever they want out of you, including a fish.

Finally!!!
I've been in awe at all of these amazing shots and it's been killing me trying to figure out what "GMOS" was referring to. I figured it was some type of photo gathering/outing but that was it. I tried googling it and got a bunch of "genetically modified organisms" links.
More pics, please post more pics!!
