Mount Evans Wildness Area

Got up in the mountains a bit this past weekend (see the Breckenridge photos as well). Here are two from the Mount Evans Wilderness Area. A stream that runs down it and a beaver-made lake called LillyPad Lake:

I like both photos. I am very partial to landscape photography. It is my favorite.
The first photo I thought was a bit blurred. Change your DOF?
The second looked a bit bright. Were you using any filters?

Thanks Anthony. It was actually pretty dark shadows there despite the time of day. You may be right about the focus and increased DOF would make it different. These are without filters and with minor tweaks (and size reduction to post).

On my monitor there seem to be lots of JPEG artifacts - not v clear at all - what quality did you use to save? Might be better of resizing smaller but with higher quality??

I'm sure your right, but with the size limitation it's all a trade-off. I made then the max quality I could for the size limit (100k).

Yeah, with all that detail its going to be tricky to compress the JPEG at any decent quality!
