#1 is not level and is fairly boring. There is no clear focal point for the eye and you cut off part of the fountain which adds to the confusion. When I look at it I don't know what you're trying to show us. Looks like a good scene, you just need better composition.
#2 is my favorite of the four. The shadows in the shot add some dramatic appeal, this might be a good candidate for a grainy black and white or sepia treatment. The composition itself is very solid the only fault I see in it is that wire that cuts across the middle of the picture.
#3 is just too boring. Maybe a different angle off to the side and lower would help. Again there is no clear mood to the photo, it just sort of is. I think I can see what your were going for there and playing with angles and perspective might help accomplish it.
#4 is just not good IMO. The focus should be either on the fence or the flowers in front however you've gotten focused on the boring bushes behind the fence. They'd make a nice background but as the primary subject (as suggested by the focus) there's just no interest there. The angles you used in the shot work well and the composition is alright. It's hard to say if there is any wow factor there given the focus issue.

I like #2 too - but the others do little for me. #3 might be better if the front was in focus and lead you into the picture??

alot of this was already covered by inetchpcx
1 - not level, could be the ground, but I doubt it ;) Nice color range, and I like the fountain. Try rotating it level in photoshop.
2 - Nice but there's a lot going on there.. I would've focused on the clock and then used a wider aperture to isolate it from the surroundings a bit.
3 - Get Down!!! Try it lower, whenever I'm unsure of a composition I bend down and look at it from below. Also you're out of focus on the bottom of the shot.
4 - The camera actually focused on the trees/bush on the left behind the gate, not even the gate itself is really in sharp focus. The composition is good but getting used to the focusing takes some work so don't worry about it, you'll pick it up.
Nice job, you've got a good eye just need to get the little things down.. keep sharing!

#1 needs to be rotated and the shadows lightened.
#4 the focus point are the far leaves beyond the fence which doesn't make for a very easy image to view. Just because you can use a wide appeture, doesn't mean you always should.

Well I have to agree with the others and say that number 2 is the strongest of all the images.
Clone out that wire!
