Hello All, Is there a program (preferably free) that I can use to show a client their album? I have designed the album but the couple is long distance and I would like them to be able to see the pages turn as opposed to sending them the full spreads via email. An help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Steve

If you use PhotoJunction to design albums it can make a movie for you. Alternately I use Proshow Gold to generate a slide show, or JAlbum to make a gallery with thumbnails.

I haven't personally used it, and don't know much about it, but I've heard that www.projectworkroom.com (http://www.projectworkroom.com) offers something that you are looking for. (I think)

Good suggestions so far. Another option is to import the .JPG spreads/pages into Lightroom, and then generate a web gallery. Then upload that gallery to your website and give your B&G the URL to check it out.

Where do you go to order your albums after you make them in Photojunction Tim? I am obviously not a professional photographer and want to work under people who are experienced first, but a lot of places that i have seen you have to be a professional photographer to see the prices and order from them, giving a tax id and other information. Is there any help i can get on this, by getting a quality album without being a professional photographer (yet)?

My albums come from Queensberry, and most album companies are for professionals only. You could try places like KISS Wedding Albums, Mpix, Milers, or WHCC, from memory at least some of them do decent albums that they'll sell to anyone. PJ will let you design for any album manufacturer, just set up a custom resource (or whatever it's called) so your file specs meet the lab specs.

Thank you so much Tim. I will take a look at those, and am going to be trying out mpix so i think that is what i will start out with.

mpix is great.... I'm sure you'll be happy. And the turn-around is lightning fast

Mpix is very good, fast shipping, and excellent customer service. The only issue with them is that they sell directly to comsumers so if you plan to include some profit (as you should) and the client can figure out where it came from, they become fully aware of your margin. A bit uncomfortable. Mpix has recently created MpixPro and you need to be a professional to have them work with you, but as best as I can tell, it's the same products at the same price. That aside, they are excellent to work with.

Thanks guys for your suggestions so far, I will be using either KISS or Black River Imaging for this clients album. I just decided to email them the spreads and will continue my search to find what I am looking for. It is so easy to make the presentation how you envisioned it when the client is local but I am finding it difficult to do it when the client is long distance. Thanks again for your help and suggestions....
