benro quick relase plate

I have recently got the benro tripod & quick release plate; quite happy except I hate having to use an allen key to tighten the release plate -is it possible to get the same screw that is on the manfrotto tripod quick release plate & replace the benro one?

However, I have a question.

Why are you concerned with using a tool to mount the quick release plate? That should be a one-time thing. Mount it and forget it. Any other cameras or lenses that need a quick release plate should also have one permanently mounted on each. If you're moving one quick release plate between your camera and a lens, for example, then the "quick" in quick release has been thoroughly defeated. Just food for thought... :p

doh! of course -I had manfrotto plates permanently mounted on my camera & lens - its just that I was on a landscape course recently and, having only one plate with my new tripod, found myself swapping it!

Obvious really !!!

however, I had found that sometimes the manfrotto plate needed tightening up- so I suppose it will be a good idea to keepan allan key handy anyway...............
