The cormorants were certainly not as successful as the Osprey, but they got some fish.

Wow! Cool. I got a lot of pictures of the the cormorants just sun bathing on the surface of the water and just plain looking boring but this one of yours is really great. A cormorant in action, running like heck to keep others, especially the sea gulls, from stealing his catch. Nice shot, Scott! :)

Neat shot Scott. They did certainly offer some entertainment between the ospreys.

Another Cormorant. This one came out pretty decent.

GTogs, since you didn't put a ;) after your post, GMOS is the acronym the guys came up with to name their photo treck, OK?

Great capture, Scott. Would be even better if you had recorded him swallowing that fish. Doesn't look possible to me, but I assume he did it.

I have the next 2 or 3 after this, but the others in the burst just weren't worth the effort of post-processing. I was waiting for this one and managed to nail it - the rest were kind of scattered. When one of these guys comes up with a fish the other cormorants and gulls - anywhere from 2 to 30 of them - simply swarm and try to steal the fish. This fish was swallowed long before the burst was done. I figure it takes them between 1/2 and 1 second to swallow it - and this is done when the cormorant is full speed trying to get away from the potential thiefs.
