Dont know what the lake was called in iceland, but found it on the way to the Vatnayokul ice cap. Only had time to poke my camera out of the car window im afraid. The second is of Loch Lomond where im doing some research for my doctorate. Def a nice place to get up in the morning.

Any opinions welcome

You had time to "poke your head out the window" and got those!
Both shots are fantastic, the first one is my favorite. The water is very smooth and the reflections are awesome.

The First one is amazing, looks like one of those published scottish photographers like Colin Prior. What time of day was it for the water to be so flat? Looks kinda early!

Thanks for the comments. The first shot was taken at 5am in March. The one benefit of working 16hrs a day in the field i guess. As for poking my head out the car, that was just for the iceland shot. It had been cloudy allllll day (well, week actually) so as soon as i saw light i was out the window, much to my passengers displeasure.

As for post processing. The first shot had a tiny contrast enhancment, and the second one just had the top cut off. No big loss as it was a mass of grey cloud.

Bet you could sell the first one!

Nice to see great shots out of the camera without being PS'd to death - thanks.

Very nice. The second one is very reminiscent of the Brooks Range in Alaska.

Love the shot - great composition....the exposure is right on!! I love the blue colour of the water, but the red in the mountains to the right looks a bit oversaturated.

Oversaturated? Any ideas how to correct it? I want it to be as good as possible.

If that's what it looked like when you took the shot, that's how it should be!
