This is Haley a young girl I photographed in a home studio. This was my 1st time using
studio lighting. This was shot in Raw and used channel mixer for B&W conversion and little USM. This was shot with a canon 17-40 L lens. Photoshoped a mirror image with some added color.

Very interesting shot and post. I like the idea of the color but don't care for the colors you selected. They don't work together for me. The lighting looks terrific.
She looks to be a very pretty young lady.

Thanks for the feed back. I was going to choose a shade of red for her lips but thought pink would be more of a younger girls look maybe? I am not a girl and have no clue on that part. LOL!!!

go more of an amber or rusty color lipstick? I think this is interesting.

This is an interesting effect with the two mirrored images, with one colorized, and the other not.
Showing perhaps "The TWO Personalities" of your model? ;)

can we see the original shot? I have the feeling that it will have more impact than the edited version.

Thanks Bruce. Yes that is what I was kind of going for.... Like your other half or your twin you never had??

This crop is a little unsettling for me. I think that a square format would work better if you want to just have half her face in frame.

Love the idea, would like different colors, too, as well as square crop. Very neat!

Well I was undecided on the crop. I thought the length of her hair flowed down her face line.... Fee free to crop the orginal verion so I can see what you are thinking...

maybe something like this.

Not bad... Not sure if I will have the same effect on the mirror image or not... I can always go wider with my canvas on the mirrored one and spread the faces apart more and fill with black in between to get a square crop.

Here is another version. I will work on cropping later.

I liked your first shot, Very creative and the choice of pink for the lips was also good for she looks young and just goes with her face. Nice work.

Yeah Dorkn, the second one you did with the different hair color I didn't like, compared to the first and I think MGBeach(Who I think has a great eye)may have a point with the square crop.

I love that first one! And I definately would not crop the hair down... the long hair makes this work,(IMO) I also think the colours are fantastic.. I want a lipstick in that exact shade!! Lol. Personally, I dont like the colours in the second one that you done. Hey but thats just my opinion.

Ditto... with maybe a little more transparency on the pink lipstick layer. :)

I LIKE this one! I'm not sure I would crop this one at all. As somebody mentioned earlier, the length of hair actually helps make the shot. ;)
