Hey folks,

I just got a new s45 before going camping on North West Island on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Would have got the G3 except that I wanted the underwater housing. Which in turn was the reason for getting the new camera.

Being someone who has played around with an SLR for years I tried to put my first digicam through its paces. I'm really impressed with the results from a compact digital! I've put a handful of photos up on a web page covering a wide range of subjects I played around with. Love to hear what you guys think.

I'm particularly interested in what you think could be done with post processing to adjust and improve these photos.

Thanks for your time!

Beautiful photo, I wouldn't change a thing. I would love to see one a little later with the sun half set but thats just being pedantic and not at all a flaw just curiosity.

I don't think you need much post-processing beyond what you have done (if any.) Maybe just a tad more sharpness, but that's just my preference for the extra-crispy.

In the above image the only obvious problem is cutting off the individual's head. You might have been able to shoot at a slightly higher angle, incorporate the head and water ripples without sacrificing the sunset.
