My credit card keeps escaping and ordering lenses. On the way, Tokina 12-24 F/4 ATX and a few filters to throw on it. I've almost completed my modest lens list however. I don't think I've even had my camera for a month and so far I have the 18-55mm EF-S, 50mm 1.8, 85mm 1.8, 200mm 2.8L, Canon 1.4 TC and now the 12-24mm F/4...this really is a disease. A lenstastic disease. Yes I just made up the word lenstastic

You don't want anybody on this forum taking away your wallet - we all have similar spending habits. :)

Yep, I agree with Tom. But if you still want me to take it away, I won't mind :D
BTW, how do you like that 200 2.8L?

the real world of dslr, i did the same thing when i had slr's
50 1.8, 28-80, 28-105, 75-300, 135 2.8, 2x converter, extension tubes, and then had to carry them around with me. :) :) - but you may find you need the wallet for chiropractor fees for back problems carrying it all

Maybe I should just hide it from all of us then. As for the 200 2.8L I love it, 90% of the time thats what is on my camera.

If you do find someone to keep your wallet safe, let me know, they can have mine too. I went to "look" at some wide angle lenses today and tried the EF-S 10-22, Sigma 12-24, 17-40 and 16-35 and of course, came home with the most expensive (16-35). I liked the sigma because it went down to 12, but settled on the 16-35 because it went up further and was faster than the 17-40. The 10-22 was interesting 10mm is REALLY wide, but it is EF-s and I assume I will change camera at some stage! While I was in the shop I also looked at a Leica Digilux2, so I suppose it is only a matter of time before my wallet gets carried away again :-(

My wife said a pair of scissors will fix that problem. (I think she was talking about cutting the credit card.....I think I have been warned. LOL)

As soon as a girl tells me to quit wasting my money on my hobbies she is gone so I don't think I'll ever be married. Although its usually over my car, which is actually more expensive to play with

That's like offering an alcoholic to keep your bottle of Vodka for ya. :D
Btw, marriage does not prohibit you from lens cravings. It just makes you more imaginary when you have to come up with reasons why just just "have to have" that particular lens. And you really need to know good excuses why your "wants" is "needs".

Not at my house..... it's twice the disease there. Last time I ordered a lens for my hubby, I threw another one in for myself:shock:

my GF took my credit cards/bank card's to force me to save for our next holiday...had withdrawls at first but then i remembered that i saved my CC info in my Pocket PC and bought more gadgets, then I got caught out and she took that tooo......man it was bad...but then I just waited till the holiday and bought a 20D w EF-S 17-85mm lens, the lens hood, 1GB card, 420Ex.......and I strangely find myself in the same predicement..... where too next! (need a reason to get the 70-300 DO IS!)

Ya know, that sounds like a mighty good idea. I got my hubby hooked into my habit so now we feed into each other's lens frenzy!!! It worked for me!

Good Luck, its like the old movie line..." Stop me before I do it again".
It will never stop, the goods still keep coming. I down to 3 more items and I had my 20D for about two weeks now and the $$$ are still flying out the door as we speak:shock:
Cheers,
Lynn

Well the girl who keeps telling me I'm going to marry her now wants me to teach her how to use my Rebel XT after seeing what it can do vs a point and shoot. She doesn't seem to mind me spending my money on lenses so maybe I'm off to a good start.
