Hey guys, I need a little help here. As a present for a friend who's really into AMA racing I'm going to have a poster made of one of the shots I took this past week at Road America. I've narrowed it down to two shots that I've gotten some positive feedback on but I'm having trouble deciding which shot I like better. That's where I'm hoping you can help out. Please take a look at the two shots below and let me know what you think. I like the first one because of the background and the position of the bike but I hate that the windshield is cutting through his face mask. The second one has a better view of the rider but the background seems lacking to me. Which do you like better or should I save my money and keep trying for better shots? I appreciate the help!!!

I like the second because the background isn't as distracting, and as you say, the windshield is out of the way. Suggest crop it to a long but short rectangle surrounding the bike - lower border running thru the long faint shadow on the ground, upper border just above head, full width of the image.

#2 for me too, cropped tight.
Those are of 2 different bikes. Doesn't your friend ride too? Seems like a pic of him would be better.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. I'm reworking the second one in photoshop and I think I'll use that (cropped as suggested). The guy I'm giving it to does ride too, but not a sport bike and certainly not in races (he's got a big fat BMW touring barge). I might approach him to see if he'd be interested in shots of himself on his touring bike.
