I had to reload PSE6 and lost my actions. I was able to put the .atn back in its right place but the .xml file was no where to be seen. Could anyone send it to me? Not sure if I need a PNG as well but if I do, I could use that too. Thanks!!!

Can't you get it off the MP site Scott?

Danny, you gotta give me a little more credit than that brother! Of course I tried that but the zip only extracted the .atn file.

People actually use the action? I hated it and ditched it pretty quick, it's not a requirement.

FWIW, I figured out a workaround....put the .atn in the filters subfolder, not effects. then just copy in any PNG from effects into filters and rename it the same as the .atn
Mike, I actually do like it for prints but not for creative stuff or portfoilio. What did you hate so much about it or are you just being a rebel! lol!

It's not really needed, you should be able to "eye it up" after seeing it once with those annoying lines, just seemed like a waste of time - not to mention the higher up at MP said they don't even use it when shooting and told me it's not necessary at all. I only used it at first because I thought you had to.

Scott,
You need to use LR2 man. It will cut your processing time in HALF! Just put in the crop mode, 21.6x16 and crop away.
On export enter 2166 in both boxes and export.
Easy :)

Thanks Matt. I really think I need to make that jump. I have never heard anything but exactly what you just said. LR sounds fantastic.

its fun man. It really does make it easier. When tagging though I still use PM, but for image editing I stick to LR2.

There's a beta version of LR 3 out right now that you can try out, or there's always the free trial you could try.

It really seems to be the consensus no matter who you talk to. Maybe I'll try the free trial and see. I hate the idea of the learning curve again but if its really worth it in the long run...well, you know.

LR is incrediable and LR3 looks to be even better. I've found the easiest way to get started is to go to Adobe.com and watch the tutorials. You won't regret the time.

I crop images to 7.22 x 5.333 aspect ratio in LR. Then export fit "Long Edge" 2166 .....
LR makes editing very simple for me.

I never shot RAW until 4 months ago when I got a new job. We use LR and it is very easy to learn the basics and such a breeze to work with. I loved it so much I got my own copy to use at home on my personel photos. If all the shots are in the same conditions you can make one correction to first photo then sync the setting to all the rest and your done. LR has basic touch up tools but if there any "major" retouching needed I edit in PS after all other corrections are done in LR. You can got to http://www.lightroomkillertips.com/ and get all the help you need.

I sent off samples and was excepted by Max Prep last year but never got fully "vested". I was always shooting for my job and not able to "double dip" so I never posted the required galleries. Now that I am away from that job, working for the government now, I want to get back into doing sports again on the side for myself.
What type of presets do you have and use in LR for max prep and sports shooting in general?
