Here's my very first attempt to do flash shooting at night. It was very educational (read frustrating) to have a go at this. I'm not sure what to think of the result since I've probably stared at it too long by now :).

On a scale from "Delete instantly to I'd keep it where nobody can see it", where would you rate this image?
And most importantly, what can I do to improve this type of shot?

One thing I might try next time is raise the flashes on the stands a bit since I think the upper half of the side of the car got short changed for light a bit.

Here it goes:

I like it but not a fan of the shadows being cast on the wall. Maybe if you set a flash diagonal off the front driver side headlight and raised up a bit may give it a nicer look. Mind me asking if you were using a flash or was it the onboard?

Total of three flashes. Two on stands pointing at the front and rear quarter panels at a 45 degree angle. One inside the cabin.

I agree on the shadows, I'm not liking those much either. I think I'll try the flashes a lot higher.

very nice. IMO the shadows are cool, it adds a little effect to the picture

The image elements are stacked in the same plane & less interesting than if you'd remembered the rule of thirds.
