I saw this bird on my way to work this morning. I didn't know what it was but I love its tail. Then only i found out, it's a beautiful Scissor-tailed Flycatcher. ;)

Nice shot of an interesting bird. I usually get dark shadows from that angle.

Thanks tupe. Luckily it was a little overcast this morning. So the lighting wasn't too harsh to shadow its little body. :)

Thanks Alan! Its tail is even more gorgeous when it flew, but unfortunately i didn't get any in-flight shot. :(

nice shot CFC I'm wondering did you step down a light stop or so,,,, it seems it was a bright day and I have alot of problems shooting in bright light

Thanks liv2. It was taken at neutral EC. I realize what i did wrong when shooting birds, especially small bird, in bright day from a far distance. I have hard time putting the bird in the bracket when i meter. I often metered too early. Thus caused the bird underexposed. So now i try to meter only when the bird is in the focus bracket. I know it sounds very basic but it is particularly hard when you are panning at a small subject handheld. Hope it helps.
