when you taken a photo of them, and it turns out to horrible, knowing that on the same bill, that others have been taken?

Tonight, I have taken the most horrendous photos of people performing, albeit, that some of them turned out well

Are you getting paid for it, and trying to preserve your business reputation? (I'd hope not, as anybody shooting for hire shouldn't be making those kind of mistakes!) Make some excuse about an equipment malfunction.

Are you an amateur/hobbyist, just shooting for friends? Tell 'em you screwed up.

Just as an amateur, but I want their appraisal for a job that I want to be in

Perhaps this is a bit of across the pond language barrier - but I have NO idea what you just said in your first post.

I have to agree. My take on the OP first post was that they took a couple snaps of someone that didn't pan out well.

What I got out of it was that he was asking what to say to people when their photographs turned out terrible, yet others he had shot at the same event came out well.

Can you repeat this please??The OP made the mistake of using the thread title as part of the first sentence. As a complete sentence, it should have read:

What do you say to people when you taken a photo of them, and it turns out to horrible, knowing that on the same bill, that others have been taken?

I agree that this wasn't using the best writing style, but I believe I understood what was meant.

Yeah, ok, I do admit that I do that a lot....but I took up to five minutes thinking what to call this thread

OK, fair enough

What I was trying to say is that, I took photos of musicians, most of them turned out well, but when it came to this particular musician, most if not all turned out sh*tty, and I was just figuring out what to say if the person in question wanted the photos

Depending on how critical you are of your own work this person might actually enjoy them..

It's difficult to comment unless we see some pics..

So after reading again did others have any idea? Because I read it several times before I posted, and I still have no clue what you said.

Post a photo if you'd like. I would just simply tell the person that things didn't work out to your satisfaction & you'd like to re-do if possible. I wouldn't make up something - that always comes back on you.

If they're technically unsound, I would delete them. Then I would tell him/her, "I'm sorry, but my position and your place on the stage made getting shots of you very difficult. I tried, but the lighting was just terrible. Here's what I got. I was just about to delete them. I'm sure you'll agree with me."
