Although not technically a good photo, I thought this may give some cool relief for those of you in hotter climes.
I've lived here in Halifax, Nova Scotia for over 4 years now (Originally from Bristol, U.K.) but I still get excited when it snows.
These were taken with my old Fujifilm S1 using a Nikkor 28-107mm f/3.5-4.5 IF.
(Focal Length :28mm, F Stop :14.3, Shutter Speed : 1.861sec.)
You can find more photos from that day at http://www.seangower.com/february.htm
...by the way, what a fantastic forum with a great bunch of people !

That stuff looks great on Christmas cards but is not good when it clogs the street ;-)
Oh yeah. Good capture.

I luv the snow. Any snow shot is great. (I feel sorry for who's got to dig that red car out)

We don't get that much snow very often here, we just had a really bad January with storm after storm after storm with really high winds that drifted like crazy.
Some crappy shots with my Elph from the same storm:

That little dark think peeking out of the centre of the snow bank is a ~4' tall recycling bin.

It is 90F today here in NYC. Seing pictures like those makes me love summer even more. I hate when my car is stuck in the snow.

You're right, Gordon, it was quite a winter but that picture was taken after what was to become known as 'White Juan' in February 2004.

Oh wow, its pictures like those that remind of how great winter is. I hate the near 100 degree weather I'm getting right now. Any simple thing you've panned for the day becomes a hassle. Takes me a good 30 minutes to manage to get out the door.
