First two are very overexposed and not as sharp as they should be. Backgrounds are blown out.
The third one is in some of the worst portrait light you can get - sun high and no clouds, it creates harsh shadows.
I don't think I would be happy if I got them.

I have to agree ^..the first two are very out of focus.....the concept in the second was good, but it just falls short of the mark for me.

For your first official shoot, I think you did well. Comp is nice, there was thought put into the execution. I think the lighting/focus issues will come with time. Personally, from experience, even though you and others think they fall short, your client will probably love them :). Keep shooting!

Thanks everyone, the first 2 aren't as out of focus as they seem here, atleast the prints we had made weren't, not sure what happened there. She actually loved these shots, and they turned out great when printed.

1. Why? I hope that you have a valid reason?
2. I see that you've removed the images & original question. That is not a practice that will endear you to Pekka. Members have taken the time to answer your question, & this is a learning site so even your screw-ups may help someone with a similar problem.
