Finally need to step up from the old P4 - its 8 years old and really stresses on some big Photoshop and Indesign files. After looking at Dell and others - the below looks like quite a bit of machine for the dollar - appreciate your thoughts and advice.

Will still be running the Adobe CS2 suite for the near term. Mostly photo work and package design in Photoshop, catalog and print design in Indesign. Possibly get into playing with some video editing (Vegas).

Wondering if I should jump on this or see what Black Friday / Cyber Monday brings. Thanks in advance for any comments and opinions

That's not bad, although I am not an HP fan.

I think most would say to wait until black Friday/cyber Monday though.

Yeah - never drank from the HP cup - always had satisfactory results with Dell. I'll probably holdoff for the "great" deal.

OK for $1150. If you can wait for the coming Holiday rush, I would. All depends how badly you really need it. Everything I've seen so far makes me think there will be no shortage of supply, so I expect you'll see some prices drop.
