Anyone heard of Rodenstock E67 1A Skylight UV filters? How does it against the B+W filters? I've heard that they are neck to neck when comes to quality,is it true?

I looked everywhere, but no one seems to have it.

While I would think filters from Rodenstock would be top of the line; Heliopan and B+W filters are available from both B&H and Adorama. I only use Heliopan or B+W because of the build quality. They both use brass rings, which don't seize, instead of the aluminum ones found on Japanese and American made filters. Also instead of pouring the liquid glass into a mold (which may cool down unevenly) Heliopan and B+W are 'cut' from a solid block of glass and finished to exceptionaly close tolerances. It may seem a bit over the top but Heliopan won't use (in most cases) the round spring normally found between the glass and the ring to keep the glass snug. They feel that there is less distortion without the ever so slight pressure on the glass. And, yes, the glass does move just a smige with Heliopan filters.

I was hoping to get the B+W filter as well, but it seems the local store dont have any multicoated filter in stock, and ordering them takes about 2-3 weeks:cry:  I am not patient enough to wait or order online.

My only option here (the best available) is the Rodenstock.I will buy and test it out,if I dun like it,I will just sell it on ebay.
