I got a new Canon Rebel 300D a couple weeks ago and the manual settings worked fine. But, right out of the box, none of the Auto Settings would work outside in the sunlight. They worked fine indoors with the flash.

So, I took it back to the retailer and he let me exchange it for a Canon Rebel XT 350D with no extra money out of pocket.......I couldn't believe it!

Anyway, the XT 350D is really sweet.

Here is a couple of pics. I couldn't pass up this old barber chair and I had to try out my new 75-300mm lens too on the slinky bird.

im just a beginner but having a ball

Glad you're having fun with your new toy!

Try using Enhance -> Auto Levels for your barber chair photo in PS, you may like the result.
