Arn,

those are incredible :D

I really like your images, although I have to confess that I am more a fan of the 'conventional' looking cats (like the 'got food' shot)

That said, my favourite is 'framed' ... B+W really works very nice on the whole gallery.

Best regards,
Andy

PS: Not trying to insult your cats, but 'Got food' might also be a very suitable title for the image of Sparkle in this thread

Haha! :D
That's just the way oriental cats are.... They have thin fur (and only one layer of fur, usually cats have two). And they have very little body fat. This is how thin most cats would look, when you shave 2/3 of the hair put them on a slight diet... Oriental cats are actually the longest living of the cats along with some other similar exotic cat breeds (like abyssinians), kind of like athletes of the cat world. They are very agile and fast, you might compare them to sprinters. Ps. Snickers in the other cat gallery (with colors) is my cat. He's oriental too.

why it is black white colour???... i think if it is coloured, it will be better!! it is because it will be more colourful and attractive....

Many people have said the opposite... :) (well, just like Andy there before you)
You see, most cat pics are in color, just the same as portraits of people. The gallery is in b&w just for change. There are some good reasons for shooting in b&w and they are the same as for shooting people in b&w. Some like it, some don't. Of course, I have color versions of the images too and I will probably make a gallery of color cat images, but it might be a bit silly to publish the exact same images in color, yes? In the meantime, you can check the gallery of snickers for some color cat images: http://www.pbase.com/arn/snickers

oh, I think youe cat and your image are both beautiful. I think the black and white really works here and enhances the elegance of the feline features, well done!

Really excellent shooting. Cats are always a challenge to shoot and you made it look easy. I like the BW look and think it shows alot of emotion. Great work!

Excellent gallery. I vividly remembered Framed because I thought it was so interesting. I've always been of the opinion that in this day and age it takes a strong image to carry B&W. Yours accomplish it easily in my book. Very nice work.
