Alternative chargers?

I work in a hotel, if a guest forgets a camera and we dont have any point of contact--in 60 days we can claim it for ours!(if they dont claim it within):) ...So i really cant afford a new battery charger (40 some dollars not including shipping) from b&h although i know it'll likely BE better.

Soooooooooo, i was shopping at Kmart and i come across a Targus Universal CANON Battery Charger for 15$.

I tried the battery charger and it works like a charm.

Has anyone had any experience with charging your Canon battery's on a charger other than the real thing (ie: problems)?

Lithium batteries are touchy things and need to be charged properly. I'd hate to have a cheap charger ruin a battery or worse.

There are alternative BP511 chargers that do not cost an arm and a leg, and can charge from 110/220/12v
