Its a little contrasty, even for my contrast loving taste... I think you needed to shoot this earlier or later in the day.. it looks very soon to midday. doing this would decrease the heaviness of the shadows, and also increase the saturation of the shot, and I know you could photoshop it, but the shadows would still remain.

Also, my personal taste, but I would like to see the stamens all in focus (centre of the flower), unless its a very small depth of field shot. The background is very cluttered, which I think is something you cant avoid in this situation.. could you maybe change your POV? come at it from slightly more above maybe?
