Two more from last night, a '64 Plymouth Savoy & two Hemi engine treatments.
The 2nd Hemi is from a '64 Plymouth Belvedere. Very similar except that (I think) one came with floor mats & mirrors!

Hemis make me happy :D
I love the Savoy, though those big meats in the back kinda ruin the "Sleeper" look ;)

A HEMI with a factory cross ram manifold? SWEET! (and very rare, I believe.) :D

They are more rare. The cross ram is the race Hemi, inline carbs is the street Hemi. The 64 Plymouth's are just sweet looking cars, and a Hemi is a nice bonus!!

Very nice shots :D
But I have to agree that the rear tires look a bit out of proportion
Best regards,

I love the old MoPar muscle! :D

I love the old MoPar muscle! As they say, "Mopar, or NO car!" We were a Chrysler family for almost 40 years. My best one was a '69 Cuda fastback, Formula "S", 4-speed with the 383. They only made 500 of them & I really wish I still had it now! (So I could sell it!) :D;)
It cost $2,900 & would do an honest 141 mph out of the showroom, benchmarked against a very pi**ed off Porche 911S driver very early on a Sunday morning!
Still, I got my moneys worth out of it & put 187,000 miles on it over 13 GREAT years. It made a hellacious tow car, too! :D

LOL! That story brings back a fond memory. I did the same thing to a guy travelling Northbound on I-15 just South of the Cal/NV stateline. I was driving my 71 340 Cuda, and He was looking down his nose at me from His 450SL Mercedes.
I could envision what He was saying to the Lady in His passenger seat with Platinum blond hair; Watch me smoke this piece of junk next to us.
I could almost see the steam coming from His ears, as we both launched from about 70 MPH, and I pulled strongly and decisively ahead. I broke my factory 150 speedo that time out.
My Cuda had primer grey patches all over it at the time.

:D:D Great story, Bruce. Those 340's fooled a lot of people.
I wonder why it is that people see primer & think "junk"?
For the first several years that I was sports car racing I'd just hammer out the odd dent & spray over it with a can. People from tracks that didn't know me would come up after the race to stare at the car, shake their heads, & walk away muttering to themselves! :D;)

Now those are engines! Not those I-4 Vtecs that Honda Civics are equipped with from the factory.

That's the BEST part of having a "Sleeper" Beater. I LOVED the looks on their faces when they finally realized that "They've been HAD.

:D One case, the guy in 1st missed a shift in a corner & I took his tail light off. After, his wife comes up, almost in tears, "He spends hours polishing the car!" (Like that is relevant to me.)
"Did he forget to polish his mirrors?" ;)
"Boo, hoo!"
And, I'm the bad guy! (Again). :D:D
