Not too often I am able to get inside a culvert. In fact, this was my first time. Usually there is too much water or it is too small. While getting ready to leave after the previous shot I saw this twig. I thought it would make for a great foreground object with the tunnel in the distance. Then I looked through the view finder and saw other photo opportunities including this one.

I think its pretty cool. The only subjective comment I can make, is what if the exposure on the right and especially the left was lower, so that the 'light' part wasn't the ends.. but the middle around the stick. I'm not sure it would make it better or not.

Great shot really.

Interesting shot, Scott. I like the textures and POV.

That said, I'm not sure that the twig is doing enough for the shot. It's just sorta "there". I'm thinking that if the twig was replaced by something with more life or color, it would have more impact. But, that's just me.

None the less, I always enjoy your work and reminds me to stop by the landscape forum more often. :)

The idea of being 1 single twig, I think gives it the "subject" factor. It doens't look like it was laying there just "being in the way of a good shot" I like it aswell

I like this style of imagery. The distortions are nice and the content clear. Curious what focal length you used.
