Has anyone had to replace their flash tube in an Alien Bee?

I have about 8000 pops on mine and I noticed some marks on one of the flash tubes that appears to be burn marks. I haven't touched the tube and keep them in the storage case when not in use. I'm just wondering if the tube is about to fail.

Note: I read the manual and replacement seems easy enough.

Anyone?
Thanks
Mike

I blew my first tube with less than 100 pops. Sent it back for a new unit. However, replacement is VERY easy. Just pull out the tube, and put in a new one. Easy peasy. I got a replacement tube for a backup in case it ever happens again.

The black marks are nothing to worry about.

I have the same small burn mark on one of my bulbs. I'm still waiting for it to burn out. In the mean time I bought a spare bulb just in case. Glad to hear the discoloration doesn't mean anything.

Mike,

8000 "pops" is not very many for a flash tube.

Enjoy! Lon
