Just noticed it's now been five years since I signed up to this great forum. Around the same time as fellow kiwi and serial talker, tim. Thanks again to Pekka and mods for continual support of this place, and the great friendly community which keeps it better than others out there. :}
I spent 4 days in Paris with a great friend, as we explored the city and each took photos. Many hundreds of photos to share. Already posted a few fun "people" action shots a few weeks back:

Here's a few of the city sights we saw:

Eiffel Tower at 2:30am with the lights off - white balance like this to give the eerie feel as it was out there.
Exif is all attached, though I was on London time. 1 hour difference

Great set, question is it true you have to have a permit to use a tripod at the louvre?

Apologies for the delay, my DSL is down at home for the past 3 days! (typical, considering I'm leaving in 3 weeks, . So posting from work quickly before I leave for the day.

Thanks Adrian! Well worth heading out there. Book in advance, only about £59 for the train. Ended up paying about £470 for 4 nights + Eurostar for two people. Quite enjoyable weekend with a good friend from NZ
Great series.
Thanks again!

Cheers Suzy, amazing place really! I been talking of visiting, and put it off for two years whilst I've been living in London. Moving back to NZ in a few weeks, so glad I made it across.
Great to have you Warren with us!
And I couldn't remember Paris is so colorful ;) - wonderful shots!
Thanks Olli! Yeah the first couple are HDR, so colours boosted a bit through that process

Thanks! All taken with 17-40L with grad ND filters, except for the water shot which was with the 85L
Great set, question is it true you have to have a permit to use a tripod at the louvre?
Thank you. I wasn't aware of any permits required, but didn't even see security out there. Was there from sunset till after midnight, bottle of wine, tripod, shooting, having a laugh. Several others there also with a tripod, but not once did we see security of police. If this was London, would have been told to stop before even erecting the tripod!
nice photos warren, we barely talk now a days lol.
Cheers Alex, must catch up properly soon. If I see you... MSN?
Nice! I love your work! Makes me even more excited about getting more serious with this hobby!
Thanks kindly, helps with a beautiful city like Paris

Haha, this guy beside me was doing the travel toy shot. I asked if he would mind me taking a shot quickly, as looked funny and cute. Appropriate title. ;)

Thanks Harm! That's an absolute must. Head back now with your camera. :)
Got home last night to realise my laptop won't fire up. Yet again it's broken. Too much money, too little time to repair before I move back to New Zealand in a few weeks. Will have to suffice surfing online at work.
