#4 was taken down at the beach, this morning. They wanted to do the pictures of them together at a separate time\day, to save time on the actual wedding day.
EDIT: Here are a few more photos!!!

Thanks so much!
I know! I am SO happy they wanted to do this :) They even OFFERED to pay the regular price for a portrait/engagement shoot, since they wanted to do the formals on the next day :D
I hate being rushed in-between the ceremony and the reception, to get ALL of the formals. This time, I just had to do the family formals between the ceremony and reception; then focus on the B&G this morning.
We broke up the day as such:
1st) Prep pictures of the bride
2nd) Pictures of the groom, his family, and the groomsmen
3rd) Pictures of the bride, her family, and the bridesmaids (Seperate times)
4th) Ceremony
5th) Formals of the families, and wedding parties together
6th) Reception

these are delicious! 3 and 4 rock! So cool that you were able to get some in the next day... it makes it so much more relaxing and I always feel like I get so much more out of the subjects once the stress of the wedding is gone.
Great job!
Where were these taken?

great posing and nice locations. Not sure if you're looking for C&C, but I'd just have to say watch for competing forms or lines in the background. when you squint your eye on 3, the bride is lovely, yes - but she's seemingly "engaged" into the jagged pillar structure (I know.. it's a tree.. but think form) that is equal to her size. I don't find the trunk all that appealing and thus you have to wonder, does it truly enhance the photo? Also, the horizon line is cutting through the groom's head in 4. Otherwise, a fantastic shot. I know, I know, it's easy to say as an observer, and I'm familiar with the pressures of wedding formals. Just stuff to think about when you're lining up your shots. Don't be afraid to get to the ground and play with the clouds (if there actually were any!) and go wide to mix up the compositions.

really nice work, the beach shot would have benefited from some off camera fill, but nice stuff!!

Oh, how I envy you. I haven't had this opportunity before. Regarding the rush after the ceremony for formals - I'm on board with that. The pride you feel after a completed wedding done well is so gratifying. But the pressure during some of these tight sessions can be sometimes be grueling beyond enjoyment.

sorry, third and last post :)
but good point. I'm just learning this too. It's a technique I haven't fully employed into my formals yet (mainly because wedding season has past here in the cold north) but underexpose those bright backdrops and fill-flash your couple with perhaps an umbrella'd, remote strobe. It will make them pop out beautifully. This, of course, can be cheated in photoshop with a lot of extra time, however ;)

The first 3 were taken at the lake in Rancho Santa Margarita. The last one was in Laguna Beach.

Wow! Thanks SOOO much for all of your comments, suggestions, and C&C! HIGHLY appreciated!
And yes, I am aware of the "rules" against the 'competing forms and lines' and the no horizon through heads, but like you said, I was rather nervous and under a tad bit a pressure. I was focused too much on getting them exposed at least NEAR proper exposure.
As to fill flash. Yes, it would have helped a LOT (for the beach shots). I REALLY wanted to do the shoot earlier (7-8am at the latest), but since they had to get dressed up again, and it was the beach, they opted for 9-10am. They couldn't do it any later, because they had to be at the airport at 10:30am, on their way to Cancun for their honeymoon.
Anyway; I didn't use fill flash, only because I have just my 430EX and have yet to really master and feel comfortable with my skill of lighting and fill flash (it's simple when there is no pressure, or payment involved.).

Thanks so much :) Read above for my comment about off camera fill

Thanks! I thought it looked mostly like ambient, but I thought you might have used a reflector or a single light. Amazing shots, again.

not so much as the previous ones. This just likes like standard ceremony shot. I actually like your first one best. And the horizon line through the head of the groom doesn't bother me. Sometimes it is akward in photos but on that one I didn't even notice it until it was pointed out.

Yeah, I know it's the "standard ceremony shot" but I thought the flower girl made it rather funny\interesting :p
I totally agree with the horizon line through the groom's head. I also usually really notice it at first, but this time (I think it has to do with the ALMOST blown out horizon-line\sky), I didn't even notice until it was pointed out to me.
Thanks for the comments! :)

Do you only stick to primes?
For almost the entire wedding, I mainly used the 70-200 2.8 IS.
For the beach shots, I used ONLY the 70-200 2.8 IS.
For the formals at the lake, I used MAINLY my 85 1.8.
These lenses on the full frame 5D Mk II, are amazing :)

Hey, stunning photos and great postprocessing. Very good colors & light!
Idea of making an outdoor portraits at the next (or another) day is very good. You have much time for everything! I do the same ;)
Cheers and keep up the good work
