Really cut shot and very nice use of the lens! Thanks for sharing. I'm surprised he "left you" with any money to buy such a wonderful lens ;) (just completed putting two daughters through 8 continuous years of college, one wedding, one upcoming ....:o)

Babies are a hard call sometimes. My daughter's name is Keira :) If I didn't know I'd think she was a boy in this pic too :)

Thank you for your comments. I showed this pic to my wife and she loved it. I bounced the flash. I was gonna play with my new Photoflex Q39 soft and medium softbox but I could loose the shot setting up.

I'm not at the stages of being a proud papa where your at but I know I'll cherish the moment when that time comes.

:)

Hello again Alan. Sorry for the miscall on your daughter :o - apologies.

Back when my kids were that young I shot medium format film, bouncing the (the old potato masher) flash as you did here :D. Yeah, I was often tempted to set up more gear, but they bounce around and you don't want to miss that moment. My old TLR was all manual - no AF or TTL - so it was wait until the stuff came back from the lab.;)

But my wife is chomping at the bit for some grandkids, so perhaps in a couple of years I'll be sort of doing it all over again.
