Lovely photos, especiually the second one. Those fountains in the pavement are a pure invitation to kids. :-) They put a single jet in on the street outside the Gaiety in Dublin, you might know it, but the pavement was sloped incorrectly and they never turn it on now, the water runs towards one of the shops!!

Love these marie.......I giggled when I saw #1.... I did that to my son and now my grandson :):):)

I wish we had those floor fountains around here as it is to be quite hot by next week but we have been in the 70's- 80's here in Central California. Lucky us!

the fountains would be a great idea to have in many places .

the water rises much higher every so often
when the jets flare up the screeches from the children is priceless

it was hotter last time I was there and there were more children (and grown ups) getting splashed about with the water. even me . (but kept the camera safe)



the children seem so safe and very happy there, while the parents can relax in the sunshine with friends and refreshments
it's a beautiful building right beside the Thames

Marie, if you were to come out of the Gaiety and turn right, pass the enterence to the St Stephens Green Centre up to the end of the pedestrian area and you are walking across the fountain, you will see the recessed lighting in the pavement. I work around there so I pass that way nearly every day, but unfortunately I wont have the POTN strap on during working hours :-( :-( It is a real pity they made a mess of the levels and it is useless now.

BTW. If you know around here you must know Conns Camera Shop? Thats were most of my money escapes too, they make spending money soooo easy.
